Venue - Lionscrest Manor

www.lionscrestmanor.com
It's a gorgeous mansion that has been converted into an event space.  Our ceremony will be on the back lawn overlooking a gorgeous valley.  We will then step inside to have the reception.  Kevin visited it before I did (I was out of town for work during our inital months of engagement and planning) and later told me he knew it would be the place.

Photographer - Lindsay B Photography

www.lindsaybphotography.com
I love her!  Photos are the most important thing to both of us and we spent a lot of time researching area photographers.  We found some great ones to have sit-downs with, but Lindsay was our favorite hands-down.  She's so energetic and fun and we all really clicked.  I can't wait to work with her!

Caterer - Greens Point Catering

We've booked with GPC out of Longmont.  They are also the house caterer at Lionscrest when you book an inclusive package, but we had the option to do other caterers as we are not doing a package.  We ended up choosing GPC because we really love our "team captain" Joannie and GPC has pretty good food for a GREAT price.  Plus, Joannie will function more as a DOC than just a catering representative, so that's a surprise bonus.

Bar Services - 9th Avenue Liquors

We are bringing in our own Colorado wine & beer selections to be served by the caterer.  Our wines will come from the Two Rivers winery in Grand Junction.  We met them at the Mountain Wine Festival and LOVED their wines.  They will also etch our bottles in any font we choose for only $3 per bottle!!  Our CO beers are Dale's Pale Ale (Kev's choice) and 1554 (mine).  Since those two are on opposite ends of the taste spectrum, we'll add another lager or pilsner to please the "middle of the road" folks.

Cake - TBD

This is not even on my radar right now.  We will start looking around March to book this.

DJ - A Music Plus

I got many recommendations from other Knotties to use them and they were a 2008/2009 Knot Pick in the regoinal magazine.  I lucked into a special that cut the price in half!!

Florist - Capelli Floral

www.capellifloral.com
I'm so excited about our florist, Denise Capelli!  She's really down to earth and the shop she and her husband run in the Platte Park neighborhood is so unique and inviting!  She's going to save us a lot of money by allowing us to provide all the hard goods (vases, crystal embellishments, etc).  She also uses trees, branches and other non-floral flora (whew, that's a mouthful) in her pieces and designs, which is exactly what we were looking to do!  Her delivery rate is incredibly reasonable and includes instructions for taking down our arch and aisle pieces to repurpose them for the reception.  She was a GREAT find from the farmer's market!!!

Officiant - Heather, a close friend of ours

Yep, we're going the internet-ordained route.  We'll have a spiritual yet nondenominational ceremony.  We knew we wanted to include Heather in our plans but we also knew we wanted a small wedding party, so we decided to stick with just a MOH and BM and asked Heather to perform the ceremony.  She's ECSTATIC over it!

Wedding Gown - Eva's Bridal, Orland Park, IL

So far, so good.  The deposit was pretty steep (75%!), but they waived the shipment fee since they will have to send it to Denver.  Alterations will be done by them also, but should be simple (the dress comes with hollow-to-hem sizing and built-in bustling) and their book looked good.  I also checked out their reviews on line, so I feel confident all will be fine.

Men's Suiting - Not even close yet...

Kevin and his BM, Jeff, will wear suits.  But that's all we know at this point.

Bridesmaid Dress - Bella Bridesmaid, Chicago, IL

They have a very nice selection of dresses, but tend to range on the higher end.  However, they carry a few hard to find brands (Alix & kelly, Amsale, etc).  They also have a policy that the bridemust sign the contract to confirm the orderer's choice, which I find strange but some girls either a) need that much control or b) manage to choose really sneaky (and snarky!) bridesmaids.
